Overview
West Midlands/ temporary / £150 - 220 per day
Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs and/or disabilities? Do you have a patient and nurturing nature? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely Secondary provision in Cannock supporting with their recruitment for a Science Teacher. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills. The school is looking for a passionate team player to take on this long-term role. The successful teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stage 3 with diagnoses of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
- Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
