We are seeking a committed and adaptable Combined Science Teacher to join a large, well-respected mainstream secondary school on a full-time supply basis, starting immediately. The role is expected to continue potentially until the end of the summer term. The school is Ofsted rated Good in all categories and benefits from state-of-the-art facilities, a supportive leadership team and a strong culture of high expectations.
The Role
- This is a long-term, full-time supply position with full teaching responsibilities.
- The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Combined Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the Science curriculum
- Undertake the full role of a classroom teacher, including planning, marking, assessment and reporting
- Fulfil all directed time, including meetings and departmental responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and maintain high classroom standards
- Work collaboratively within a well-established Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Be confident teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 Science
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Be organised, reliable and committed to continuity of learning
- Be able to integrate quickly into a busy and supportive school environment
