The Science Technician will be joining a well-resourced department with a collaborative and forward-thinking team. This role is a long-term, full-time position starting in September 2026. The Science Technician will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the science curriculum by preparing practical experiments, maintaining equipment and ensuring all health and safety standards are met. Responsibilities include managing stock, preparing resources for lessons and handling the safe storage and control of chemicals across the department.
The successful Science Technician will have:
- A science-related qualification (desirable)
- Experience working in a school laboratory or similar environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, including CLEAPSS (desirable)
- Experience preparing scientific equipment and practical experiments
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A proactive and reliable approach to supporting teaching staff
