Are you an experienced School Caretaker looking for a long-term opportunity in a secondary school? Do you have experience carrying out general maintenance and ensuring a site is safe and well maintained? Are you reliable, practical and confident managing health and safety across a large school site?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large secondary school in Darlington in their search for a School Caretaker. The school has a large site and requires a dependable individual who can help maintain a safe, secure and well-kept environment for pupils and staff.
The school is looking to take on a School Caretaker on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful School Caretaker will be responsible for general maintenance across the site, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the premises and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
The successful School Caretaker will have:
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or premises role is ideal
- Experience carrying out general maintenance tasks
- Good knowledge and awareness of health and safety
- Ability to work effectively across a large school site
- A practical and proactive approach to work
- Reliability and a ‘can-do’ attitude
