Are you a passionate Class Teacher with experience supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties? Do you have the knowledge and resilience to deliver engaging, personalised learning to children and young people with SEND? We are proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Plymouth supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19 with severe learning difficulties. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential through personalised learning and a strong focus on independence.
We are looking to appoint a full‑time Class Teacher on a temporary basis with an ASAP start.
Qualifications and experience- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly severe learning difficulties
- Strong knowledge of adapting lessons and creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent classroom management and positive behaviour support strategies
- The ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents and external professionals
- A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support onboarding
- Access to CPD courses and certificates through the My‑Progression channel
