This is a long-term position for someone who wants to become part of a nursery, build strong relationships with the children and staff, and develop their career within Early Years.

The position:

The ideal candidate:
The nursery is ideally looking for a qualified Early Years professional with a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification. Suitable qualifications include:
- Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
- Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education
- CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
- NCFE CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualifications
- Level 3 Technical Certificate in Early Years Education
- Other recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualifications
Candidates without a formal qualification may also be considered where they have strong and relevant childcare experience. This could include previous experience as a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Assistant, Childcare Assistant, Playworker, Teaching Assistant or another role involving regular work with young children. Previous nursery experience and experience supporting children aged 0–5 would be advantageous.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support to children
- Supporting children's development through play and engaging activities
- Building positive relationships with children and their families
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment
- Supporting daily nursery routines
- Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent care
- Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies
- Contributing to observations and children's learning and development
