TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Runcorn. We are actively recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to provide high-quality classroom support across our trusted network of schools.
Responsibilities
Our Cover Supervisors play a vital role in keeping students engaged and learning when their usual teacher is absent. Working on a day-to-day, long‑term or full‑time basis, you will deliver pre‑set work, maintain excellent classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. This role does not involve planning or marking, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience in secondary education.
Qualifications
- Cache Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or a minimum of 6 months' experience working with young people
- Confidence in managing classes of students aged 11 to 16
- Excellent classroom engagement and behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups
- A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
