TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Tunbridge Wells who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school supports children with a range of additional needs, including Autism / ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children both 1-1 and within the wider classroom environment. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to provide personal care, support children who may display challenging behaviour and work closely with pupils on individual learning tasks.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Experience supporting children with ASD and SEMH needs
  • Confidence supporting challenging behaviour
  • Experience working 1-1 with children on individual tasks
  • Willingness to provide personal care where required
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
