TeacherActive is proud to be working with welcoming mainstream primary schools across Barry who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). These schools have an inclusive ethos, supportive staff teams and are committed to providing every child with the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.
The schools are looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to secure a long-term position, providing 1:1 support and working closely with pupils with ALN, encouraging engagement, promoting independence and supporting learning throughout the school day.
The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:
- Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within a UK primary school
- Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis and/or working with pupils with ALN
- A patient, understanding and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support where needed
