TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Redditch who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 / KS2 team. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils feel confident, engaged and included within the classroom.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will primarily support children in Year 6 with EHCP plans, providing targeted support to meet their individual needs, alongside general classroom support when required.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting children with additional needs and EHCP plans
- Experience working with children within a primary school setting
- A good understanding of Key Stage 2 / KS2 and the needs of Year 6 pupils
- A patient, positive and supportive approach
- The ability to work effectively with the class teacher and wider school team
