TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEN school in Reading, supporting with their recruitment for an enthusiastic and engaging SEN Teacher on a temporary basis. The school deploys a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of learners, who present with a range of learning difficulties and styles. As a SEN Teacher, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. Join an amazing team creating supportive, nurturing environments where pupils achieve far more than they ever expected. You will take responsibility for their emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world. The school is seeking an adaptable and engaging team player to take on this role, as SEN Teacher. The successful SEN Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school. The position will involve working with pupils aged 7-11 with a wide range of learning disabilities including pupils with severe and complex social and communication difficulties.

Requirements

  • QTS with Primary or SEN specialism
  • Experience relating to working with pupils with autism and communication disorders
  • Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviour
