TeacherActive Essex is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to work within a range of welcoming nursery settings across Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and are looking to gain valuable experience within early years education. The role of Nursery Assistant is ideal for candidates who enjoy supporting children's learning through play, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support qualified practitioners with daily routines, activities and general care, ensuring each child feels supported and encouraged throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
  • Have a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Enjoy working with young children in a team environment
  • Have previous childcare or nursery experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Hold a childcare qualification (beneficial but not required)
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
  • Be reliable, flexible and committed
  • Based in Braintree
  • Supporting children with play, learning and personal care
  • Assisting with daily activities and routines
  • Helping to maintain a safe and clean nursery environment
  • Building positive relationships with children and staff
