Start Date: Immediate Start / September

Salary: £92.63 - £130 per day

Do you have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour? Are you resilient, patient and confident in managing behaviour within the classroom? Do you have a passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential?

This supportive setting provides a nurturing and structured environment for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, encouraging pupils to build confidence, independence and positive relationships.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with a flexible start date. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will be supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour and require additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
  • Previous experience managing challenging behaviour within an educational setting
  • Team Teach training desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
