Are you an experienced Primary School Teacher who has taught across KS2? Can you fluently and confidently converse in the Welsh Language? Are you looking for full-time work within a supportive environment?

TeacherActive is excited to be working with a spectacular Welsh Primary School located in the Blaenau Gwent area who are passionate about keeping the Welsh ethos alive in their school. The school prides itself on the broad and balanced educational schemes that are offered to all pupils and are proud of the success that comes from that. The Primary School is looking for a fluent Welsh speaking Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis for their Year 5 class.

The successful candidate will need to be able to speak the Welsh language fluently and will need to be experienced working with children across Key Stage 2 / KS2. You will need to be able to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of children that have additional learning needs and be able to use your initiative.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Year 5 class within KS2 and contribute to the school’s Welsh ethos.
  • Speak Welsh fluently and confidently in daily teaching and interactions.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support pupil progress and well-being.
Qualifications:
  • Primary QTS (NQTs are welcome to apply)
  • Fluent verbal and written Welsh
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to build valued and trusted relationships with students
  • A can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work
  • Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
