TeacherActive is proud to be supporting a fantastic private day nursery in Colchester in their search for an experienced and passionate Nursery Practitioner. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a nurturing setting that focuses on child engagement through a therapeutic, child-centred approach.

The nursery environment is exceptional — thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, split into age-appropriate areas, all aimed at providing rich sensory experiences. Children are encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence, and take safe, supported risks within a secure environment.

The nursery is looking for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join them on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent. You may be required to work across all rooms, supporting children aged 6 weeks to 4 years. With the nursery currently growing, fantastic opportunities for career progression are available.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

Level 3 qualification (desirable)

Level 2 qualification (required)

Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude

Flexibility and adaptability
