The school is looking to take on an English Teacher who is passionate about teaching and is looking to inspire young people to challenge themselves. They want an English Teacher who shares the school’s pride in high standards of behaviour and self-discipline. If successful, you will plan and deliver KS3 - KS4 (Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 4) English Language and Literacy lessons, alongside marking and tracking progress.
You will be required to organise and plan lessons whilst using your excellent communication to deliver these lessons to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 6 months experience teaching English to students ages 11 - 16
- Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis
- A passion for making a difference to young people’s learning
- Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self regulate emotions
- Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN
- A QTS / PGCE / ECT with a specialism in English
