QTS Tutor - SEMH/SEND

East Midlands/ contract / £20 - 23 per hour

We are currently working closely with a tuition provider who is looking for experienced, committed and passionate tutors to support children who may have SEND or SEMH needs.

The hours are flexible but will be in between the hours of 9am-3pm and may consist of 2 or 3 hours each day. (This can vary)

For this role you are to prepare your own resources.

The main responsibilities include:

• Providing one‑to‑one or small group tutoring support to children with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Planning and delivering lessons in Maths and/or English as required.
• Maintaining a calm, patient, and understanding approach when working with the students.

In order to be successful for this role you must have:

• QTS – Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH
• Knowledge and ability to tutor Maths and/or English
• A passion for working closely with children in a relevant setting
• Ability to stay calm, patient and understanding
• Ability to work with students 1:1 and in small groups
