TeacherActive are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a welcoming primary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, deliver interventions and occasionally lead whole-class teaching across the primary age range. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic HLTA looking to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.

The role will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
  • Delivering small group interventions and booster sessions
  • Leading whole-class lessons in the teacher’s absence
  • Supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
  • Helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HLTA status or relevant qualifications/experience
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A flexible, proactive and positive approach
  • A passion for supporting children’s education and development
