We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across a range of school settings. This is a rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about inclusion and supporting children to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Support pupils with academic tasks, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans
- Assist with behaviour management using positive strategies
- Support personal care where required
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or similar settings)
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable (but not essential)
- Relevant qualifications (CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour or complex needs
