Salary: £90 - £110 per day

The school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

The school is looking to appoint a PMLD and Complex Needs Specialist Teaching Assistant for either long-term or day-to-day work starting in September. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide both 1:1 and classroom support, assisting pupils with their learning while delivering personal care and manual handling safely and with dignity as part of their daily routine.

The successful PMLD and Complex Needs Specialist Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD and complex needs
  • Confidence providing personal care and manual handling support
  • Experience working on a 1:1 basis and within a classroom environment
  • A patient, caring and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
