An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator/Receptionist to join a Secondary School located in Sunderland. This post is going to be a long-term position, starting as a temporary position.
As an admin assistant you will undertake:
- Reception duties, answering general telephone calls, face to face enquiries and signing in visitors.
- Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties and liaising with parents.
- Assisting with arrangements for visits by school nurses, photographers etc.
- Assist in arrangements for school trips, events etc.
- Maintain manual and computerised records.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders, collecting money and undertaking basic bookkeeping such as petty cash.
Applicants need to have:
- Experience of using SIMS (essential)
- Be passionate and dedicated to their job
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
