THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be an important part of the nursery team, helping to create a warm, safe and stimulating environment where children feel confident, supported and encouraged to learn.
- Providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5
- Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development
- Completing observations and contributing to children’s learning journeys
- Recognising and supporting each child’s individual needs and interests
- Building strong and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Working collaboratively with the wider nursery team
- Maintaining high standards of care, cleanliness and health and safety
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for practitioners who are enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely passionate about making a difference during the most important years of a child’s development.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, depending on the position
- Previous experience working within a nursery, pre-school or Early Years setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- A caring and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work confidently as part of a team
- A professional and positive attitude
- A commitment to providing outstanding care and learning opportunities
- Paediatric First Aid is desirable
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable
