Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £92 - £95 per day Do you have experience supporting children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex additional learning needs. The school focuses on providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping pupils develop their communication, engagement and independence through personalised learning and specialist support. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term supply basis, starting immediately. The successful PMLD Teaching Assistant will support pupils with complex learning, physical and medical needs, assisting with PEG feeding, safe manual handling and personal care in line with individual care plans and appropriate training, while using eye gaze technology and alternative communication methods to encourage pupil participation and development.
