TeacherActive is currently recruiting a HLTA to work within one of the largest secondary schools in Pembrokeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual looking to take the next step in their education career while working in supportive and inclusive school environments.

The Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
  • Lead small group interventions and provide targeted pupil support
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor progress and raise attainment
  • Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
  • Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote pupil wellbeing

Requirements

  • HLTA status or an equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Confidence leading whole-class learning and covering lessons
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
  • Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
