Do you have the skills to deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly successful Girls Grammar School in Birmingham to recruit a Girls PE Teacher for a 12-month maternity cover position. This forward-thinking and ambitious school is recognised for its excellent outcomes, positive relationships, strong sense of community and commitment to helping both students and staff achieve their full potential in a happy, caring and inclusive environment.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Girls PE Teacher on a full-time maternity cover basis from September 2026. The successful Girls PE Teacher will deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, contribute to curriculum development, support extracurricular activities and fixtures, and work collaboratively within a supportive PE department to ensure outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

The successful Girls PE Teacher will have:

  • QTS with a Physical Education specialism
  • Experience teaching PE across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for Physical Education and promoting participation in sport
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  • A positive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to teaching and learning
