Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Pensions Manager to lead the end‑to‑end payroll function, oversee PAYE and HMRC compliance, and manage Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration. The role will also involve maintaining and developing iTrent, producing payroll reports and forecasts, and supporting finance and audit requirements through accurate documentation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end payroll function.
  • Oversee PAYE and HMRC compliance.
  • Manage TPS and LGPS administration.
  • Maintain and develop the iTrent payroll system.
  • Produce payroll reports and forecasts.
  • Support finance and audit requirements through accurate documentation and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing end‑to‑end payroll operations.
  • Strong knowledge of PAYE, HMRC compliance, and statutory payroll requirements.
  • Experience administering TPS and LGPS.
