Cambridge Regional College is a large and inspirational centre of learning with campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon, offering outstanding teaching and leisure facilities alongside a collaborative and supportive working culture. The college is looking to appoint a permanent Payroll & Pensions Manager on a full-time basis. The successful Payroll & Pensions Manager will lead the end-to-end payroll function, oversee PAYE and HMRC compliance, and manage Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration. The role will also involve maintaining and developing the iTrent payroll system, producing payroll reports and forecasts, and supporting finance and audit requirements through accurate documentation and process improvement.
The successful Payroll & Pensions Manager will have:
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, HMRC compliance, and statutory payroll requirements
- Experience administering Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
- Experience using payroll systems such as iTrent
- Excellent organisational and reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
