Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £95 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of mainstream secondary schools and SEN/SEMH provisions across Middlesbrough. These settings are committed to creating inclusive learning environments where students feel supported, valued and empowered to succeed, with a strong focus on behaviour, wellbeing and personal development.

The schools are looking to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Support professional on either a long-term or permanent basis from September 2026. The successful Pastoral Support candidate will work closely with Senior Leadership Teams across KS3 and KS4, supporting behaviour and attendance initiatives, promoting positive student engagement and contributing towards continued improvements in school culture and OFSTED outcomes.

The successful Pastoral Support will have:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational, SEN, SEMH or pastoral setting
  • Experience supporting behaviour management and attendance improvement strategies
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work effectively with students, families and external agencies
  • A calm, resilient and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
