TeacherActive is proud to be working with a busy and supportive FE college in Birmingham that is seeking a skilled Functional Skills Lecturer. The college has a strong focus on progression and prides itself on creating an engaging environment where every learner is supported to succeed.
The college is looking to take on a proactive Functional Skills Lecturer on a long-term temporary basis with a September start. The successful Functional Skills Lecturer will be delivering Functional Skills Maths & English to post-16 learners, working with a range of abilities and using engaging teaching methods to drive achievement and build confidence.
The successful Functional Skills Lecturer will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
- Experience delivering Functional Skills in an FE or similar setting
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths & English
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management
- The ability to motivate and engage learners effectively
- A flexible and proactive approach
