We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming early years setting based in Chelmsford. This is a full-time role, with working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm, offering stability and the opportunity to develop your career within early years education.
This position is ideal for a qualified Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
Qualifications
- To be considered for this Nursery Practitioner position, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as:
- CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A caring, motivated, and proactive approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children aged 0–5 with their learning, play, and development
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Adhering to safeguarding, health, and safety policies
