The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a driven and enthusiastic NQT / ECT English Teacher on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. This role is ideal for early career teachers looking to gain valuable experience in a mainstream setting.

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Teach English across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Support pupils with GCSE English exam preparation
  • Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons
  • Follow and implement the school’s schemes of learning
  • Develop effective classroom and behaviour management skills with support from experienced staff

The successful English Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with an English specialism (NQTs / ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply)
  • Experience teaching English during training placements or previous roles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and achievement
