The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
We are working with a fantastic Alternative provision in Nottingham area to find an experienced, enthusiastic and naturally caring Learning support assistant to join them on a temp to perm, full time basis.
Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. A passion for working with pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding role.
To be a successful Learning support assistant, you will need:
- To have previous experience working with children with SEND and/or challenging behaviour.
- To have sensitivity and understanding.
- To be patient and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- To have active listening skills.
- To be able to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
- To be flexible and open to change.
- To have excellent verbal communication skills.
- To be able to adapt teaching support according to students' needs.
Other essential requirements include:
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the update service is an advantage but we can apply for one for you if needed.
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
- Professional reference checks.
- CV must cover the last 5 years of employment history where possible.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
