We are recruiting a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day basis from September, with long-term opportunities available for the right candidate. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist with tailored learning activities, and work closely with teachers and support staff to foster positive engagement. This role is ideally suited to someone who is patient, adaptable and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Key qualities and experience required:
- Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to tailor support to each child’s individual needs
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach
- Experience working within education, SEND or care settings
- A proactive attitude towards children’s learning and development
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
