About the Role:

  • Work flexibly across friendly primary schools in Nottingham
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Lead targeted interventions and small-group activities
  • Adapt learning to meet pupils’ individual needs and abilities
  • Promote positive behaviour and foster an engaging classroom atmosphere
  • Support pupils to build confidence and achieve progress
  • Choose from day-to-day or longer-term placements
  • Gain valuable experience within a variety of school settings

The Successful HLTA will have:

  • Recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience
  • Experience supporting and delivering lessons to primary-aged pupils
  • Confidence in leading whole-class and small-group learning
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
  • Patient, enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Proactive attitude towards personal learning and professional development
