TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative provision in Nottingham who are looking to secure a DSL and Attendance Lead on a temp to perm, full time basis. In this role you will serve as the strategic lead for safeguarding, advising the senior leadership team. You will also monitor, track and maintain accurate attendance records using the Provision's MIS system.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. A passion for working with pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding role.

The ideal DSL and attendance lead must:

  • Be qualified and experienced safeguarding practitioner with up‐to‐date training as a DSL and deep knowledge of statutory guidance (e.g. KCSIE), local thresholds, and procedures.
  • Have experience in an Alternative Provision or similar setting.
  • Have strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
