We are looking for an experienced, resilient and adaptable qualified teacher to work in a specialist SEND provision or inclusive school with the aim of providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment for students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, trauma-related needs, ASD and learning difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons and adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils of mixed ages.
- Support pupils academically and emotionally, building confidence, emotional resilience and independence.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and external specialists to support pupil progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, SEMH or trauma-related needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Experience delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- A proactive, patient and adaptable attitude.
