Location: Northumberland

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £120 - £180 per day

We are looking for an experienced, resilient and adaptable qualified teacher to work in a specialist SEND provision or inclusive school with the aim of providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment for students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, trauma-related needs, ASD and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils of mixed ages.
  • Support pupils academically and emotionally, building confidence, emotional resilience and independence.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and external specialists to support pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, SEMH or trauma-related needs.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • A proactive, patient and adaptable attitude.
