About the Role
My client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast Club and After-School Club Assistant to join their team.
The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support children during breakfast club and after-school sessions.
- Organise and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks and refreshments.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Caring, patient, and approachable nature.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
Desirable
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3).
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience planning activities for children.
