We are looking for strong, inspiring, passionate and confident SEND teaching assistants equipped with excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners who may need extra support. This is a caring, supportive environment for every student with high expectations. Here, you will be assisting a range of students, creating positive relationships as well as an inclusive learning environment. If you have successfully previously supported students with SEND needs such as Autism, ADHD, Aspergers, Non-verbal, Downs Syndrome then this is the perfect role for you! The role would have an immediate start.

Some of your key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting learning
  • Individual and group support
  • Help prepare learning materials
  • Look after the mental and physical well-being of students

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience in assisting young learners in education on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an education establishment
  • Team Teach
  • Be calm and caring
  • Experienced with challenging behaviour and resilient
