Do you have experience teaching children and young people with complex needs and PMLD? Are you a resilient and patient SEND Specialist Teacher who can adapt learning to meet individual needs? Are you passionate about helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wakefield supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping every pupil develop their independence, confidence and individual abilities.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Specialist Teacher on a short-term or long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will support pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD, adapting lessons to individual learning needs while creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and PMLD
- Experience adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
- Strong classroom management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
