An outstanding primary school in the Abergavenny area is looking for an inspiring early years, fluent Welsh speaking teaching assistant to join on a full‑time basis. We are looking for a candidate who has passion, drive, and experience in this field.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop children
- Assist the teacher in the classroom
- Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Maintain a calm, patient, caring approach
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
- A calm, patient and caring personal characteristic
- Good communication skills
- Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Experience working with students in their education on a 1:1 and small group basis
Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide at least two references.
