The schools are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEND) on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant (SEND) will support pupils across KS1 to KS5, working with a variety of additional needs depending on your experience and suitability, including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.

The successful Teaching Assistant (SEND) will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings
  • A passion for helping pupils with a range of additional needs achieve their full potential
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, patient and flexible approach to supporting learning
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
