TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND provision in Newcastle that supports pupils across KS1 and KS2. The setting promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships whilst receiving the support they need to succeed.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND TA on a full-time, day-to-day basis. The successful SEND TA will support pupils with SEMH needs across KS1 and KS2, working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions, provide classroom support and promote positive behaviour strategies throughout the school day.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly SEMH needs
- A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their potential
- Experience providing 1:1 and small group support
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
