Are you a passionate Music Teacher with experience teaching students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4? Do you have strong classroom management and the ability to inspire young people through Music? Are you looking for a long-term or permanent Music Teacher opportunity within a supportive secondary school environment?

TeacherActive are proud to be recruiting for experienced Music Teachers to work within a number of mainstream secondary schools across the North East region. These schools are known for their supportive Senior Leadership Teams, strong behaviour policies and commitment to helping students achieve their full academic potential through a creative and engaging curriculum.

The schools are looking to appoint driven Music Teachers on both long-term and permanent contracts starting in September. The successful Music Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, alongside planning, preparation and marking responsibilities. There may also be tutor group responsibilities within this role, so excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

The successful Music Teacher will have:

  • QTS with a Music specialism
  • Experience teaching Music across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience with planning and marking
  • The ability to engage and motivate students
  • A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
