The setting is committed to providing pupils with the individual support they need to engage positively with their education and develop their confidence.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a short to long-term basis.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support students with various educational needs, including Autism / ASD, working alongside teaching staff to provide individual and classroom support while encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism / ASD and additional educational needs
- Experience supporting secondary-aged students is desirable
- A patient and supportive approach
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
- A positive, proactive and resilient attitude
