TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist education provision in Frome that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition. The school promotes a nurturing and structured environment, focusing on sensory support, communication development and helping pupils to feel safe, understood and able to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, long term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful SEND Teacher will be working with pupils who have ASD, sensory needs, and some who are non-verbal, requiring strong behaviour management, adaptability and a calm, consistent approach.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD and sensory needs
- Experience supporting non-verbal pupils and managing challenging behaviour
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
