The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with additional needs, focusing on adaptive teaching, emotional wellbeing and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work between 8:30am and 4pm, supporting pupils through small group work, adaptive learning strategies and play-based learning, while also supporting personal care, behaviour regulation and Pre-Key Stage assessment within the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or 6 months plus relevant experience
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
  • Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and behaviour support strategies
  • Experience supporting pupils with emotional regulation and personal care
  • Knowledge of Pre-Key Stage assessment and differentiated learning approaches
  • A patient, proactive and ‘can-do’ attitude
