TeacherActive is excited to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Newark, looking for a fantastic Primary Teacher to join their team! The school aims to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, make mistakes and, most importantly, enjoy their learning.
We're looking for a Primary Teacher to join the school on a long-term basis, working across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. From bringing maths lessons to life to inspiring the next generation of storytellers, you'll be planning exciting lessons, managing your classroom with confidence and adapting your teaching to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND.
The successful Primary Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (Early Career Teachers / ECTs are more than welcome!)
- Experience teaching in a UK primary school across KS1 and/or KS2
- Experience supporting children with SEND and adapting lessons to suit different abilities
- A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to keep learning fun and focused
- A positive attitude, plenty of creativity and the patience to answer "Why?" for the hundredth time!
