TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic, forward-thinking Further Education college based in Leicester, who are looking to appoint a Learning Coach. The college is committed to providing a positive and supportive learning environment, helping students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in their education and future careers.
The college is looking to take on a dedicated Learning Coach on a temporary, long-term basis, supporting students with their academic progress, personal development and wellbeing. The successful Learning Coach will manage a caseload of learners, deliver individual and group tutorials, monitor attendance and progress, and provide targeted interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
The successful Learning Coach will have:
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, alongside a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting young people with their academic, personal or educational development
- Experience delivering engaging tutorials, mentoring sessions or pastoral support
- Knowledge of safeguarding, student welfare and supporting learners aged 16-19
- Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to monitor progress and maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people
