TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a supportive secondary school in Mountain Ash for an experienced KS3 Teacher to work within their Behaviour Base (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity for a resilient, confident, and passionate teacher with a strong background in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils while creating a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development. This is a long-term temporary position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have extensive experience teaching pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or significant behavioural needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with challenging learners.
  • Be confident planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for Key Stage 3 pupils.
  • Remain calm, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential through consistency, high expectations, and a nurturing approach.
