The college is looking to appoint a Higher Level Learning Support Assistant on a permanent part-time basis starting in September. The successful Higher Level Learning Support Assistant will support students with Special Educational Needs, deliver intervention programmes, prepare learning resources, contribute to learner progress and, where required, provide classroom cover to ensure students continue to access high quality learning opportunities.
The successful Higher Level Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs within an education setting
- A good understanding of inclusive learning strategies and intervention programmes
- Experience working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents and external agencies
- The ability to support learners' educational, personal and social development
- Excellent communication, organisational and record keeping skills
- A positive, adaptable and student-centred approach to learning support
